JUBA, South Sudan — The South Sudan Blind Football Championship (League) 2026 is set to take place from August 22 to 30 at the Dr Biar Sports Complex, bringing together five teams for a historic competition.
The championship will feature Gudelle Blind Football Club, Kator Blind Football Club, Atlabara Blind Football Club, El Merrikh Bentiu Blind Football Club and Jamus Blind Football Club.
Competition Format
The tournament will be played in a league-style format, with each team scheduled to play two matches during the competition.
At the end of the league phase, the teams with the highest points will qualify for the final, while the teams finishing third and fourth will meet in the third-place playoff.
The team finishing fifth will be eliminated from the competition.
Match Schedule
Matches will be played every Saturday and Sunday, with two fixtures scheduled each day:
- 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: First match
- 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Second match
The championship is expected to provide a platform for blind football players to showcase their talent while promoting inclusion, opportunity and the development of disability football in South Sudan.
