JUBA, South Sudan – Yei Joint Stars captain and South Sudan women's international Mary Anger believes the CAF Women's Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers provide one of the biggest opportunities for female footballers to earn recognition and advance their careers.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Sports Hunter South Sudan, the experienced winger described the regional competition as a vital platform where players can showcase their abilities in front of scouts and clubs from across Africa.

"The CECAFA tournament is an open gate for every player and every club. There are scouts who come to watch the matches, so this could be a chance for a player to be identified and selected," Mary Anger said.

The Yei Joint Stars skipper said the tournament is about more than competing for qualification to the CAF Women's Champions League, noting that it also presents a life-changing opportunity for players to attract interest from professional clubs.

Mary Anger encouraged her teammates and other players representing the region to make the most of the competition by delivering their best performances whenever they step onto the pitch.
