JUBA – Al Huriya FC president Dr. Joseph Monday believes youth will be the driving force behind the club's promotion ambitions after overseeing a major recruitment campaign ahead of the new season.
Speaking in a video shared by Hattrick 24, Monday said the club deliberately focused on signing young players capable of sustaining high-energy performances throughout the season.
"Maybe only one player is above 30. The rest are all in their twenties and these are the people who are going to give their best because they have energy," he said.
Al Huriya have recruited more than ten players during the current transfer window as they seek to improve on last season's fifth-place finish.
The Flames scored 53 goals in their debut Konyokonyo League campaign—the joint second-highest total in the division—while conceding only 28 goals.
Monday believes the youthful squad gives the club every chance of competing for promotion.
