JUBA – South Sudan Premier League side Kator FC have committed $36,000 over the next two years after extending the contract of head coach Ramzi Sebit Lumeri, popularly known as “Shehata,” and his technical team until 2028.

The new agreement will see the Juba-based club, widely known as “Lobera,” pay a combined $1,500 per month to Ramzi and his backroom staff, including assistant coach Mubarak Abdelraziq Ramadan, fitness coach Aiman Kamal, and the goalkeepers’ coach, Charles Sebit.

The technical team will also receive performance-related bonuses if they achieve the club’s targets.

Kator FC Secretary Bathwel Khamis Daud confirmed that the club had reached an agreement with the coaching staff for a two-year extension.

“We have reached an agreement with coach Ramzy Sebit Lumeri and his team for the extension of their contracts with the club for another two years until 2028,” Khamis said.

Explaining the decision, Khamis said Ramzi’s previous spells with the club showed his ability to compete despite difficult circumstances, adding that the latest contract gives him the opportunity to build a successful team.

“Ramzi has been with us two times. The first time, we finished number four on the table despite nine points being deducted from the team. The second time, he came just to complete the remaining matches. But this time, we have given him this task as a test of how we can achieve success together,” Khamis said.

Ramzi returned to Kator FC in March 2026 after leaving Al Hilal SC Wau. Since his return, he has guided the club in eight competitive matches, recording four wins, one draw and three defeats.

Under his leadership, Kator defeated Olympic FC in the South Sudan Cup before exiting the competition against Atlabara FC. 

In the South Sudan Premier League, he has registered three victories, one draw and two defeats in six matches.

The extension marks another chapter for one of South Sudan’s most successful coaches. Ramzi holds a CAF B Coaching Licence and has managed several national teams, including the South Sudan senior national team.

Throughout his coaching career, Ramzi has won the South Sudan Cup with several different clubs, including Malakia SC, and guided El Merriekh SC Bentiu to their first-ever South Sudan National League title.

Ramzi first joined Kator FC in September 2023 on a one-year contract before leaving on 22 April 2024 to join El Merriekh SC Bentiu, where he made history by delivering the club’s maiden league championship.

With the new deal running until 2028, Kator FC are hoping Ramzi’s experience and track record can help the club achieve greater success in the South Sudan Premier League.
