Zahra FC claimed a 2-1 victory over Future Stars Football Academy in a friendly match played in Juba on Thursday morning.

Substitute Ashraf Byewaso gave the Juba Football Association side the lead late in the first half before Evans Emmanuel restored parity for the academy after the break.

However, David Jambo struck the decisive goal to secure a 2-1 victory for the third-division outfit.

The friendly formed part of Zahra FC's preparations for the 2026/27 Juba Football Association Third Division League campaign.

For Future Stars Football Academy, the encounter provided valuable match preparation ahead of their third fixture in the ongoing City Light Academy Tournament in Gumbo.

Despite the defeat, the match offered both sides an opportunity to assess their players and build match fitness ahead of their respective competitions.
