JUBA, South Sudan — Super Stars SC will make their South Sudan Premier League debut on Sunday when they face last season’s runners-up Jamus SC at Bulluk Playground in Juba.
The Bor-based side earned promotion to the top flight after winning the Bor Football Association League during the 2025/26 season, before going on to claim the South Sudan National League title, securing their place in the Premier League.
The Skyrockers will begin their historic campaign under newly appointed interim head coach Abdul Majid Sabri Alli, a holder of the CAF B Coaching Diploma.
The club confirmed that Alli took charge on August 21 and will lead the team throughout the season while working alongside the existing technical staff. His first competitive assignment comes against a Jamus side that finished runners-up in last season’s South Sudan Premier League, making the opening fixture a challenging test for the newcomers.
The match will be played at Bulluk Playground, with the Juba National Stadium still undergoing renovation.
For Super Stars, the fixture represents a landmark moment as they step onto the national top-flight stage for the first time after their remarkable rise through the domestic competition.
The club has urged its supporters to rally behind the team as the Skyrockers begin their Premier League journey.
