South Sudan’s U15 boys’ and girls’ teams have begun their journey to Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of the 2026 CAF African Schools Championship.
Coaches John Garang and Lilian Prima have each selected a 20-player squad to represent South Sudan at the continental schools competition.
Garang’s U15 boys’ squad features two goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders and five attackers, providing a balanced group across all areas of the pitch.
Prima’s U15 girls’ squad also consists of 20 players, with two goalkeepers, eight defenders, four midfielders and six forwards.
The young players are currently travelling by Eco Bus and have reached Nesitu along the Juba–Nimule Highway as they continue their journey towards Rwanda.
The trip marks an important stage in South Sudan’s youth football development, with the players set to gain valuable international experience while representing the country on the African stage.
The CAF African Schools Championship provides a key platform for identifying and developing emerging talent, and South Sudan will be hoping its U15 boys and girls can make a strong impression in Kigali.
