Olympic SC battled back from a difficult start to the season to earn their first point, holding Kator FC to a 1-1 draw in the final match of Week 2 of the 2026/27 South Sudan Premier League at Bulluk Playground in Juba on Friday evening.

The result denied Kator FC a first victory of the campaign, with both sides forced to settle for a share of the points after a late exchange of goals.

Michael Lat put Olympic SC in front in the 54th minute, giving his side hope of securing their first win of the season.

Kator, however, responded as Marial S restored parity in the 74th minute, leaving the two teams level.

Olympic continued to push for a winner in the closing stages, but Kator held firm to secure a point as the contest ended 1-1.

The draw moves Kator FC to ninth place with two points after two matches. They opened their campaign with a 2-2 draw against Holy Family FC.

Olympic SC remain 13th and second from bottom with one point, having suffered a 4-0 defeat to Salam FC in their opening fixture.

Kator are coached by Ramzi Sebit, while Olympic SC were led on Friday by assistant coach Norman, a former Kator FC assistant coach.

Olympic head coach John Garang is currently in Kigali with the South Sudan U-15 national team at the CAF African Schools Football Championship CECAFA qualifiers.

South Sudan reached the semi-finals before losing to hosts Rwanda 9-8 on penalties following a goalless draw.

What's Next?

Olympic SC will now turn their attention to Wajuma FC, hoping to build on their first point of the season and climb away from the bottom of the table.

Kator FC face a major test in their next outing when they go head-to-head with league leaders Jamus SC, with Ramzi Sebit’s side looking for their first win of the campaign.
