Juba-based Munuki SC will face Holy Family FC on Wednesday in a closely contested South Sudan Premier League encounter at Buluk Playground.
The match, originally scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, at Juba National Stadium, has been moved to Wednesday, September 9, with kick-off set for 3:30 PM CAT.
Munuki, popularly known as the Snakes, are making their debut in the South Sudan Premier League and have made an impressive start under head coach Kayanga John.
The debutants opened their campaign with a 2-2 draw against defending champions El Merriekh SC, conceding the equaliser in the final 30 seconds of the five minutes of added time.
Munuki then followed that result with a 1-0 victory over Malakia SC to remain unbeaten after two matches.
The Snakes currently sit fourth in the table with four points, while Holy Family are second with the same number of points. Salam FC also have four points, with goal difference separating the three sides.
Wednesday’s encounter therefore presents another important test for Munuki as they continue their first-ever Premier League campaign and look to maintain their strong start.
Holy Family will also be aiming to strengthen their position near the top of the table, setting up an intriguing battle between two sides separated only by goal difference.
